There has been a new location chosen. And it is...

The charming, scenic, beautiful, small-town of:

Ojai, California

Now, of course, a few things have to be changed in the script to change it from being set in New Orleans. Just a few mentions of the Bayou (and a neighborhood Gator) that need some adjustments. The story will still flow the same way. But, this is definitely a good second fit for the story and for the cast.

Looking forward to shoot there this summer!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. (Part II)

Now, the city of Ojai, CA is being thrown into the mix. Ojai is a small-town, located an hour in-land from Santa Barbara, CA.

It's got that small-town feel to it that "Little High, Little Low" needs. And it's got that charm, too.

We are seriously considering making this the new location for L.H.L.L. Keeping it in SoCal would probably be best. In fact, the characters are probably better suited for the SoCal way of life.

Let's see what happens...

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

So.

There have been a few suggestions from the production side about whether or not to fiddle around the location/setting of
"Little High, Little Low".

Some of the suggestions were:
+ Boulder, Colorado
+ Las Vegas, Nevada
+ Portland, Maine
+ Albuquerque, New Mexico
+ Daytona Beach, Florida
+ Savannah, Georgia
+ Charlotte, North Carolina.

While all of these were good suggestions, only one was seriously considered: Las Vegas, Nevada.

Las Vegas would be a good way for some of the darker elements in the LHLL story-line to be played out. But, Vegas doesn't really have that "small-town" feel that is in the foundation of the friendship(s) these character's share in "Little High, Little Low". While they all lead very different, distinct lives...they all have a way of revolving around each other.

Los Angeles, CA was even suggested.
It could work. But, it's still missing that "small-town"/"everyone knows each other" vibe that is needed.

The cast and crew have been working a lot together in Southern California, mostly in Corona and just recently in Riverside.

Orange County, Corona and Riverside truly don't seem like they are apart of California at all. The drive down south looks like you're in a different country altogether. The March 25th re-shoot was in Riverside and the view from the location was breathtaking.

So...the battle of finding a potential city to replace the location of "Little High, Little Low"  is this -

Should it (the storyline and setting entirely) be kept in New Orleans, Louisiana?
Or should it be relocated/re-written (just oh-so-slightly) to fit Southern California?

What do you think?

New Orleans, Louisiana...

Or Riverside, California?

Pictures from the March 25th Re-Shoot!

Below are a few pictures from the March 25th re-shoot with Kristin Rogers for "Little High, Little Low".
Camila, Tiffany, Zak and Rodrigo all showed up at the Make-Up Artist's, Sheila Northcutt,  house and got started on Make-Up. They all hung around, played the piano, played some Wii, made food, and even drank a little ;)

(Which, funnily enough, is something the cast will be doing in the film. By the way, the cast weekend get-away...it's going to be TOO much fun!)

Then Kristin came to Sheila's house. Tiffany and Kristin had to kind of decide on where to shoot, since the weather looked a bit rough that day. But the sun came out just in time for everyone to start shooting. Sheila suggested we try out this cool location by her house and it was a WINNER. So, they shot there and will be shooting there again for the full cast shoot on April 30th. The whole cast will reunite to add Camila into the group pictures and Jai, too.

Here are some of the pictures.
