A view of our stunning set from the "Little High, Little Low" Photo Shoot!

This is a picture of our beautiful set from the "Little High, Little Low" Photo Shoot.

We might be taking our next promo shoot (in April) at this same location; it was so stunning and absolutely perfect for what we needed the shoot to look and feel like. If a location is good...why go elsewhere? ;-)

Stayed tuned for pictures from our read-through next Saturday!

"Rolling In The Deep" by Adele. Such a moving song...it deserves to be listened to.

You can listen to the sing (and watch the equally moving music video) here:

"We could've had it all...rollin' in the deep."

This song is a shot out to all of the couples  and the friendships within friendships for the characters of "Little High, Little Low".

Can't wait to be in New Orleans, Louisiana - this summer!

The cast and crew will traveling down to New Orleans, Louisiana this summer to film "Little High, Little Low".
We can't wait for it; some of us have been there before, just visiting; some of us have lived there; some of us have never been at all! It will be an exciting experience for everyone involved! Here are some pictures of New Orleans. "Where y'at?!?"

The Team! :-)

Here's a candid picture of 3/4's of the team that made L.H.L.L. come together.
Left to right: Brianne Buskey (set designer), Sheila Northcutt (make-up artist) and Kristin Rogers (photographer) hard at work. This shot was taken while they were figuring out how to place everyone for the group shot on the couch (which is pictured below, as well).

And here is a candid picture of Dianna Lopez (hair stylist) bright and early in the morning at her Salon, styling Doree Seay's hair (Doree plays Delilah Brown). Quote of the day: "Well, hellooo actors!" - Dianna Lopez

Wonderful team of people!

And this is the group picture of the cast on the couch. So perfect -

Here's how to reach these lovely ladies!

Song of the Evening: "Feelin' Good" by Nina Simone

This evening's song of choice is none other than "Feelin' Good" by Nina Simone. It sets the proper tone; for this evening, the story, the friendship these characters share. Now, it's time to just take it easy....

Listen to the song here:

"Birds flyin' high, you know how I feel. Sun in the sun, you know I how feel. Breeze...driftin' on by, you know how I feel. It's a new dawn, it's a new, it's a new life. And I'm feelin'....good."

"Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean. Don't you know? Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean. Sleepin' peace when day is done - that's what I mean. And this old world is a new world, and a bold world for me..."

Splendor In The Grass: The story of the L.H.L.L. Promo Photo Shoot

It started out as an idea; just a scribble in a notebook. A dream, if you will.
Then, one day, while flipping through that notebook, the idea was refreshed and added to. Characters were developed. Nine different, stand-out characters.

Should it be written as a book? A movie?

A series?

It definitely had the potential to be either of the three. But, finally, it was decided that it would be written as a feature-length script. Suddenly, the characters and potential plot-lines took interesting turns and it was given a title. Then, everything just...flowed.

That was the tone of Saturday, January 29th, 2011. Everything just flowed.

This process of making "Little High, Little Low" has been a year in the making. Plently of time was taken getting all of the right people involved; the cast, the crew, the producers, potential directors.

Finally, after countless months of back-and-forth emails, the cast of L.H.L.L. finally got together to take promotional pictures for the film. This was the first time they all met, but you wouldn't have been able to tell. Everyone just clicked instantly, like they'd all known each other for years and then some.

Below are candid pictures of that day. It started off with call-time being 8am for the cast the Hair Stylist's, Dianna Lopez, salon in Corona. "Well, hello, actors!" she greeted them, throwing her hands up with a big smile. A big thank you to Dianna for letting us be apart of her day and for doing such a wondering job with the hair! At about 10:30am, all the actors had assembled together at the Salon, then were off (following in each other's car) to the location on Temescal Canyon Road. This is where Kristin Rogers (the photographer), Brianne Buskey (the set designer) and Sheila Northcutt (the Make-Up artist) were waiting for us.

The journey with Kristin has been the longest. She has been such a blessing and everyone was so happy to have her on board. Not only will be be the set photographer for the film, she will also be one of the Director's of Photography. Her work is very similar to the vision of how the film was seen while written. Once there, the cast was greeted by Kristin and Brianne. Down below in the ravine, they were greeted by Sheila and got straight into make-up.

sidenote: Links are provided below leading to all of these amazing women's websites!

It was a long, beautiful day. Everything came out just right. Everyone - both the cast and crew - felt like long-time friends by the end of it.

So, whats next for the "Little High, Little Low" crew? It's being filmed this summer in New Orleans, Louisiana. And then the next read-through of the script is going to be on March 5th!

It was such a great experience; everyone is looking forward to working with each other again - and soon!

Here are some candid pictures from that day! And go check out our amazing team's websites. Well worth the visit :-)

Again, a big shout-out to Kristin Rogers, Dianna Lopez, Sheila Northcutt and Brianne Buskey for making this shoot such a success and for being such forces of nature. Beautiful, talented, amazing women! We can't wait to work with you again in the future! (In April! haha).  Here's how to reach them all -
