Decisions, decisions, decisions.

So.

There have been a few suggestions from the production side about whether or not to fiddle around the location/setting of
"Little High, Little Low".

Some of the suggestions were:
+ Boulder, Colorado
+ Las Vegas, Nevada
+ Portland, Maine
+ Albuquerque, New Mexico
+ Daytona Beach, Florida
+ Savannah, Georgia
+ Charlotte, North Carolina.

While all of these were good suggestions, only one was seriously considered: Las Vegas, Nevada.

Las Vegas would be a good way for some of the darker elements in the LHLL story-line to be played out. But, Vegas doesn't really have that "small-town" feel that is in the foundation of the friendship(s) these character's share in "Little High, Little Low". While they all lead very different, distinct lives...they all have a way of revolving around each other.

Los Angeles, CA was even suggested.
It could work. But, it's still missing that "small-town"/"everyone knows each other" vibe that is needed.

The cast and crew have been working a lot together in Southern California, mostly in Corona and just recently in Riverside.

Orange County, Corona and Riverside truly don't seem like they are apart of California at all. The drive down south looks like you're in a different country altogether. The March 25th re-shoot was in Riverside and the view from the location was breathtaking.

So...the battle of finding a potential city to replace the location of "Little High, Little Low"  is this -

Should it (the storyline and setting entirely) be kept in New Orleans, Louisiana?
Or should it be relocated/re-written (just oh-so-slightly) to fit Southern California?

What do you think?

New Orleans, Louisiana...

Or Riverside, California?

Pictures from the March 25th Re-Shoot!

Below are a few pictures from the March 25th re-shoot with Kristin Rogers for "Little High, Little Low".
Camila, Tiffany, Zak and Rodrigo all showed up at the Make-Up Artist's, Sheila Northcutt,  house and got started on Make-Up. They all hung around, played the piano, played some Wii, made food, and even drank a little ;)

(Which, funnily enough, is something the cast will be doing in the film. By the way, the cast weekend get-away...it's going to be TOO much fun!)

Then Kristin came to Sheila's house. Tiffany and Kristin had to kind of decide on where to shoot, since the weather looked a bit rough that day. But the sun came out just in time for everyone to start shooting. Sheila suggested we try out this cool location by her house and it was a WINNER. So, they shot there and will be shooting there again for the full cast shoot on April 30th. The whole cast will reunite to add Camila into the group pictures and Jai, too.

Here are some of the pictures.

Re-Shoots were yesterday!

Hello there!

Some of the cast re-shoots were yesterday. Zak and Rodrigo got their couples shots taken. The little previews we got to see on Kristin's camera were GREAT. Then, Zak and Tiffany took some new couples shots which turned out great, too!

Also, we found a brand new location to shoot at which will be used for the shoot in April, too. It was gorgeous!
Below is a far away shot of the location we used (Kristin Rogers, in the distance, taking pictures of Zak and Tiffany) brought to you by Sheila Northcutt, the make-up Artist.

The date for the next cast shoot? APRIL 30th. Super exciting!

Song of the Evening: "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac

This evening's featured song in none other than "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac.

Why?

One of the characters in the story is named Rhiannon and it was chosen simply because there was love of this song. And, of course, the name is totally unique and cool! Very fitting for this character and the strong person she is going to develop into.

Listen to the song here (and sing along with the lyrics, too):  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=551DlcPIFso

This is our own Rhiannon -
(Rhiannon Elliott, played by the adorable Adia Rogers)
What a little doll, right? :-)

"Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night and
wouldn't you love to love her?"

"All your life you've never seen a woman taken by the wind...
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
Will you ever win?

Rhiannon...
Rhiannon..."

Song of the evening (or morning?)! - "Howlin' For You" by The Black Keys

Song of the evening!
(Or morning...?)

Is one suggested by Cast member, Doree Seay.  It's called "Howlin' For You" by The Black Keys. Pretty dang good fit! ;)
Listen to the song here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7AP5MAhkoQ

"I must admit:
I can't explain any of these thoughts racing through my brain.
It's true, but baby...I'm howlin' for you."

Next week: re-shoot-promo-shoot!

Alright, so -

Next Friday, March 25th, some of the gang is reuniting to take some new, extra promo-shoots.

Since Camila Banus recently joined the cast (and fits in quite perfectly), there are new promo shots in order! Camila is taking on the role of Jennifer Russo. And, in the story, Jennifer and Henry (played by Rodrigo Nicolau) have a thing for each other. So, they'll be taking their couples shots ;-)

Also. As AMAZING as Zak and Tiffany's (playing Marlon and Avery) couples shots were from the original shoot, there were some suggestions from the set designer (Brianne Buskey), photographer (Kristin Rogers), and Tiffany, too, about how to make them even better. The characters of Marlon and Avery have been through it together. High school sweethearts that went through a bitter break-up during their Sophomore year of college. Although they aren't together, they still carry a torch for each other. It's a love/hate relationship, really. We all know that although there may be a lot of "problems" in a strained relationship...there are still some light-hearted moments.

Our goal for the shoot next week: to capture all aspects of each relationship! :D

Sounds exciting, right? These are the pictures we will be "re-shooting". Different wardrobe, hair styles. These are two of the pictures we'll be re-doing. It's going to be a good time!

And, of course - we're excited to the see Kristin and Sheila again!

Song of the WEEK: "Do You Wanna Touch Me?" by Joan Jett

O.K. Yeah.

This song may be just a tiny bit...racy. Oh, but how it fits so perfectly well with a section of this story. Some sappy song wouldn't have fit.

These characters don't sit on their impulses and this song is telling us not to! Perfect match ;)

Listen to the song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdLPJDYDJ_c

"My, my, my...Whiskey and rye - don't it make you feel so fine?
Right or wrong - don't it turn you on
Can't you see we're wastin' time? yeah!

Do you wanna touch (Yeah)
Do you wanna touch (Yeah)
Do you wanna touch me there...
where?"

Song of the Evening: "Lonely Teardrops" by Jackie Wilson

Oh, this song. How it fits so perfectly in different sections of this story.

Please, take a moment to listen to this song...go back in time, back to yester-year. It's worth it! :)

Listen to the song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgyl_LBdcxo

"Lonely teardrops; my pillows never dry off. Lonely teardrops...
Come home, come home- just say you will! Say you will..."

Taking a little time...to feature Kristin Rogers!

Kristin Rogers:

The cool gal. The brilliantly talented photographer. The good friend. The ever-so-in-love wife. And, most importantly, wonderful Mom.

She's been apart of the process of bringing "Little High, Little Low" to life, pretty much from the beginning with writer, Tiffany McFadden. Kristin's unique vision and her eye for what she does will be translated onto motion picture during the process of making this film.

Words can't express how much we appreciate her and everything she's done for this film. She's the set photographer, and apart of the D.P. team. So lucky to have her on board!

Get ready world. Keep an eye out for this amazing talent! Her work will be gracing magazine covers everywhere; all in due time.

Dear Kristin & company...this is only the beginning.

Another group photo from the promo shoot!

Hello again everyone!

Here is another stunning group shot from the first promotional shoot, taken by Kristin Rogers.

We're all taking another Promo Shoot together in April, due to some sudden adjustments that have been made to the production. The promo shoot this month is the first step to making some of those adjustments. Then in April, everything is will be re-arranged and better than ever! Can't wait for everyone to see the progress and how this production has taken a turn for the better.

We're lucky enough to have such wonderful people involved with every step of the process. The cast truly are great friends now; bonded as though they've known each other for years. The special team - Kristin Rogers, Brianne Buskey, Sheila Northcutt and Dianna Lopez - are very dear to us and are our close friends, as well. They, too, are committed to being apart of bringing this project to life.

We're looking forward to the journey this is going to takes us on; looking forward to the endless laughter that we are absolutely sure will be taking place on set, day after day...

The time to film is getting closer and closer. Now, it's time for us all to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

The promo shoot for this month is set for Friday, the 25th. Camila, the newest cast member (who is taking over the role of Jennifer), is in need of character head shots. She and Rodrigo will also be taking their "couples" shots together. Also, Zak and Tiffany will be taking new "couples" shots. The shoot in April will be about taking new group shots of the whole group. And getting Jai his character head shots and including him in some of the group shots! So excited!

But, while you're here, check out this stunning picture of the cast taken by Kristin Rogers. As beautiful as this shot may be...we're very excited for the next shoot in April.
So! In the words of Kristin Rogers herself...

Bring it!
